Chinese New Year 2010 - Year of the Tiger 庚寅

Why not organise your weekend away in London to welcome in the Year of the Tiger.

Chinese New Year 2010 falls on Sunday 14th February 2010 with celebrations in London to take place on Sunday 21 February in Trafalgar Square, with Chinese dance, music, acrobatics,firecrackers, Chinese dragons,lions and an official opening ceremony starting at 12pm.

You can wander on to Chinatown which will be celebrating the Chinese New year with special decorations, stalls, food and lion dance displays. Shaftesbury Avenue will become "Hong Kong in London Chinatown" with a stage featuring performances by local Chinese artists.

A fireworks display in Leicester Square will close the celebrations.This event is great day out for all the family.

The Palm Hotel offers free parking and is well serviced by London Transport bus, overground and underground services. A direct bus route takes you from North West London to the West End in just 20 minutes.
