The Lock is the original ‘Camden Market’, opened in 1973 as a collection of artisan workshops. Clustered in and around the award-winning Market Hall, you’ll find small shops and market stalls selling everything from vintage fashion, handmade jewellery and beautiful homewares sourced from around the globe. It’s also a great place to spot new young designers.

Delicious food; from stacks of vegetarian goodies to hearty steaks and the waft of heady spices, there's a global kitchen on offer. You can arrive by Waterbus on the canal from Maida Vale or London Zoo right into the heart of the market. Open seven days a week, (just closed on Christmas Day), and close to the Eurostar terminal at Kings Cross, the nearest tube stations are Camden Town and Chalk Farm (on the Northern Line).

“Excellent Stay” at the Palm Hotel

I stayed in the hotel a few years ago and didn't have a very good experience. WOW, how things have changed. The Palm Hotel stood out, as at first glance it looked welcoming and luxurious. The room was stunning, clean and comfortable. On top of all this, the staff were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble. It should be awarded 3/4 star at the least..Cant wait to return for more indulgence and pampering in this beautfiful underated jewel of a hotel..We will be back again and again, and I can't wait.
